Every agency website in 2026 says “AI-native”. The phrase has been fully devalued — it now means anything from “we rebuilt our entire delivery model” to “someone in the studio has a ChatGPT subscription.”
So how does a client tell the difference? They can’t — not from claims. Which is why we stopped making claims and started publishing the build log: a public, dated record of what we build, how long it actually took, and which tools did the work. Starting with this website itself.
The asymmetry
Here’s why this works as proof: a build log is cheap for us and expensive for a pretender.
If your delivery model is genuinely agents-plus-seniors, documenting it is a byproduct. The work leaves traces — commits, sessions, artifacts — and publishing them costs minutes.
If your “AI-native” is a slide, a build log is a trap. You’d have to fake timestamps, invent velocity, and maintain the fiction forever, in public, where anyone can ask questions about it. Nobody sane does this. So the log filters honestly: those who publish one can, those who can’t don’t.
Economists call this a costly signal. We call it the only marketing we trust.
What it commits us to
Publishing the log has teeth, and they point at us:
It forbids inflation. Every duration in the log is real. The temptation to round “one session” down to “one hour” is exactly the temptation that would destroy the log’s value. The discipline is the product.
It shows the unglamorous parts. The log includes the ten minutes of git housekeeping, not just the thirty-five pages. Real velocity includes the boring work. Fake velocity always skips it.
It ages in public. If our velocity claims stop being true — if entries get sparse or slow — the log shows that too. We’ve built a permanent witness and given you the address.
The bigger bet
There’s a version of this industry where AI makes everything more opaque: generated case studies, synthetic testimonials, logos of clients who were really one workshop in 2024. That version is already arriving; you’ve seen it.
We’re betting on the opposite trade. When production gets cheap, verification becomes the scarce good. The agencies that win the next decade won’t be the ones claiming the most — they’ll be the ones easiest to check.
So: check us. Read the log. Diff it against the git history. Ask us anything about any entry.
