History
Emakina was born out of the alliance of three highly complementary agencies: Ex Machina, Net At Work and Emalaya.
1. Founded in 1991 under the name Ex Machina, Ex Machina Internet Architects merged with Emalaya in June 2001. Ex Machina demonstrated particular proficiency in graphic design and communication. They set standards in creativity and design as well as in the development of high-traffic web sites.
2. Net At Work was created in 1998 by professional website builders. This company combined skills in the areas of marketing, communication, web design and development for large national and multi-national corporations. These activities were transferred to Emalaya in the first quarter of 2000.
3. Founded in 1998 by ex-SAP specialists, Emalaya started in 1999 under the name Make It Happen. Emalaya provided integrated services in the development of e-business applications. Emalaya”s capabilities were mostly technological with a team of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and e-business platform specialists.
The “Emakina” brand - a contraction of “Emalaya” and “Ex Machina” – was the result of the convergence of these different areas of expertise into a single, integrated entity.
